Tek-COMŽ SM201B Home Intercom System
with Door Release
The SM201B Intercom Master Station is
a multi-purpose two-station intercom for use in homes, gates, offices, or
wherever communication to a single area is desired. The SM201B has a white
ABS plastic faceplate, and is designed for surface mounting. When the remote
station’s button is pressed, the SM201B sounds a tone and goes into
listen mode. Conversation is controlled at the SM201B by pressing the talk/listen
button. The unit stays in listen mode until the monitor/off button is pressed,
allowing a child’s room or other location to be monitored. The door
open button will unlatch a door if an electric door
strike is installed (use TekTone®’s PO001 door strike).

ARCHITECTS’ AND ENGINEERS’ SPECIFICATION
The intercom master station shall be TekTone® SM201B or approved equal,
and shall allow for connection to one remote station. It shall include momentary
talk/listen, monitor/off and door open buttons. The master station shall
be constructed of white ABS plastic and shall be surface or desk mounted.
A 2.5" 45-ohm speaker/microphone shall be used for clear voice reproduction.
Screw terminals shall be provided for electrical connections and shall be
marked on the circuit board to aid in proper connection. The system shall
require a single #22 twisted pair cable between the SM201B and the remote
station. |
